Description
Nature is the protagonist of this mini-series but the local human inhabitants who have co-created this primeval landscape are shown as a significant part of this habitat. Shooting over a period of 4 years, Jan Haft and his team have worked with state of the art camera equipment. Equipment that helped to capture pictures of this secluded region during all seasons – pictures of great beauty.
When newts gather for their bizarre mating display, when wolfish “minimonsters” hatch from tiny, white balls, when one of the world´s rarest bumble bees is introduced and a giant “daddy longlegs” takes a freezing shower … when the “small creatures” are having their “big moments” – then we are truly entertained by nature´s greatest events.
