Extensive deciduous and coniferous forests lie next to colourful flower meadows, flowering alpine pastures next to colourful farm gardens, bottle-green mountain lakes next to reed-covered ponds. At the foot of the mountains, long ago, vast bogs were created full of natural treasures. Like freckles farms and pretty villages are scattered in the landscape. Famous church buildings and castles make this area a magnet for visitors.
