In every animal tribe there are record holders in growing-old. Among fish, as well as among reptiles or mammals. Methuselah’s Creatures are not compulsorily among bodacious species with furrowed skin but also where nobody would suspect them. And they exist nearly everywhere.

What is the secret of these beasts, whose life-span extends so far beyond normal? Ever since man is trying to escape his fate to dodge death. Without success. In fact there are more and more high aged individuals among us. And life expectancy rises year by year. There seems to be a limit however, we cannot break through. Shall the privilege to watch centuries pass by without becoming weak and invalid be reserved to animals? Perhaps we can learn from these special species. It might be that they bear the key to immortality… live longer, live wild.
